The Company operates through two principal divisions: Dietary Supplements and Healthy Food Ingredients. On the strength of scientific evidence, consumer awareness of the health benefits of Omega 3 essential fatty acids from fish sources has dramatically increased of late. This has increased the fish oil nutritional supplement demand for which ONC caters with refined and concentrated fish oil. Global food companies have been seeking means by which to incorporate Omega 3’s into foods such as breads, cereals and dairy products. Poraver North America Limited is an Ontario-based producer of Poraver®, a patented porous glass sphere, used as a lightweight aggregate primarily in building products, as well as a variety of other products through various industries. Poraver® was developed by Dennert Poraver, a private company based in Germany, and has been produced and sold throughout Europe for over 15 years. PNA has exclusive North American rights to manufacture Poraver® and supply North American building products companies.

 

Strad Energy Services is a Calgary-based company that provides a range of oilfield equipment and services to customers across the province of Alberta. Through subsidiaries, it manufactures natural gas booster compression packages, patented environmental mats, structural steel products and custom buildings. Strad also provides after-sales service and maintenance on compression packages and electrical and instrumentation services for both maintenance and construction. In addition, the company offers equipment on rental terms to customers in the drilling and resource production industries. Strad’s stable of operating entities includes Strad Compression & Production Services, Strad Oilfield Rentals, Strad Controls, Strad Manufacturing and Strad Structures.

 

Trident Exploration Corp. is a private Calgary-based company focused on the discovery and commercial development of natural gas in coal (NGC), also known as coal bed methane (CBM) and resources in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB). Trident has assembled its own WCSB land position, which it continues to grow through direct acquisition, farm-ins and other joint ventures with Canadian resource companies. Trident's long term business plan is to continue acquiring interests in new NGC lands in the WCSB and to commercialize project areas that possess characteristics suitable for commercial NGC development.

Its customer base includes blue chip companies such as Procter & Gamble, Colgate, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline, and Wyeth as well as large retail clients such as Walmart, Loblaws, Dollar Store, and Shoppers Drug Mart.

 

Value Creation Inc. (VCI) is a privately-owned Canadian integrated oil sand company based in Calgary, Alberta. VCI holds extensive oil sand resources in the Fort McMurray area of north-eastern Alberta. VCI also owns a proprietary upgrading technology which is expected to significantly reduce capital and operating costs compared to existing and planned conventional upgraders. The company plans to apply this technology in the development of their oil sand leases. VCI also has a majority ownership in BA Energy which is currently constructing the first phase of a 260,000 barrel per day upgrader northeast of Edmonton (the Heartland Upgrader) utilizing VCI's upgrading technology.
